Computer Core Dump

Computer Core Dump provided a complete database of everything Trek from 1997. It maintained the same LCARS-style look from 2001.

In addition to a full episodes guide, the website contained biographies of all major characters (borrowed from the official Star Trek website), descriptions of equipment, technologies, starships and shuttles, uniforms, weapons… even the teleplays of the first ten motion pictures. Nowadays we can get all this information from Memory Alpha, which is more detailed, but back in the early 2000s, it made Computer Core Dump a rare and useful resource.

Bernd Schneider gave the website his prestigious Ex Astris Excellentia Award in August 2002, praising its user-friendly navigation and understated LCARS design. The last content update was in 2009. The website disappeared in February 2022.
